Bong: A water pipe for smoking pot. Also hookah, narghile.

Bloods: Pot retailers.

Cannabinoids: Stoning agents-more is better.

Cannabis Sativa:
Latin name for marijuana.

Contact High: To get stoned by breathing secondhand pot smoke.

Crips:
See Bloods.

Hallucinations:
Rare in marijuana smoke, unfortunately.

Hard Drugs:
Heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine , alcohol, tobacco.

Hashish:
Marijuana resins in hard chunks smoked in a special hash pipe.

Head Shop:
A store selling pot paraphernalia.

High:
Stoned on marijuana.


Hit:
To inhale pot smoke.

Joint: A marijuana cigarette, usually hand-rolled.

Medical Pot: Marijuana that heals, i.e., all marijuana.

Munchies:
Pot smoker's desire to eat when high, especially junk food.

Narc: A Drug Enforcement Agency pot cop.

Paranoid:
A realist.

Paraquat:
A chemical poison sprayed on pot plants by the feds to kill innocent tokers.

Pothead: A frequent (8 or more joints a day) marijuana user and ne'er-do-well.

Psychoactive:
An undesirable side effect in marijuana: it makes you feel good.

Roach:
The remains of a smoked joint.

Roach Clip:
A device for holding a burning roach that's too small to be held in the fingers

Score:
To obtain (buy, steal, borrow) pot.

Stash: Your marijuana supply.

Stoned:
Under pot's benevolent influence.

THC:
Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Chemical that produces the high.

Toke:
To inhale a hit of pot smoke.

Tokers:
Pot smokers

Trip:
To lose yourself in marijuana smoke.
Trip (bad): Unheard of with marijuana.
